BEN BALL
Ben Ball is a designer, fabricator, and project leader with a background spanning civil engineering, architecture, restoration, and specialty construction. He has worked with public agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and private clients on complex renovation and repair projects throughout North America.
Technical & Project Experience
Ben began his career as a Project Engineer and Project Manager, developing site-specific repair procedures, progress tracking systems, and communication frameworks for large restoration projects. He later served as President of the International Concrete Repair Institute of Southern California, strengthening his expertise in advanced materials and repair technologies.
Entrepreneurship & Leadership
He founded and grew a specialty construction firm in Southern California from a three-person shop to an operation of 30–50 employees. His role included operations, estimating, engineering, documentation, and client development. Ben built custom internal systems for project management, estimating, collaboration, and training—while driving innovation through new materials and technical solutions.
Design & Fabrication Practice
After relocating to be closer to family, Ben shifted to independent consulting and hands-on fabrication work. Today, he operates a Baltimore-based design studio and fabrication shop where he focuses on bespoke furniture, woodwork, architectural elements, prototyping, CNC design, renovation projects, and specialty consulting. His work merges precision engineering with craftsmanship, bringing concepts to life with clarity and purpose.
